Southern District School
Colonial School District's Southern District School The new 1,200 student, 157,000 square foot elementary school, built on a sprawling 70 acre site, is actually "two schools in one." The school was designed as two separate 600 student schools sharing a common sPACE. The plan utilizes an "X" concept with 4 wings surrounding a central support core. All exterior doors are tied to an integrated electronic card key. Each classroom is equipped with a technology package, which includes fiber optic, data, voice, and coaxial systems. All life safety systems, kitchen freezers, boilers, and circulation pumps, are backed-up by a diesel generator. |
